Tropical Whopper Tours
The year was 2020. Global travel was shut down due to Covid. And many tour guides in the tropical countries around Australia were out-of-work. So when Hungry Jack’s wanted to spruik the Tropical Whopper on Uber Eats, we thought we could give our tropical neighbours a much-needed gig. We used our marketing budget to pay a bunch of tour guides across the tropics for a different kind of tour — a tour of our burger.
The gesture struck the chords of over 3 million Aussies across online and social, smashing the sales target by 120% in just one week.
